Coventry Cats, established in 1988 as a cat specialty store, went to the dogs in 1995 when they realized that a great number of their cat customers also included dogs in their families. They encourage all friendly and housebroken dogs to stop in for some love and a treat, but please bring in a human companion. Coventry Cats is located in eclectic Coventry Village. Coventry Cats is surrounded by many other interesting shops and an array of American and international restaurants, so if you're coming for a visit, plan on spending some time on the street. They do not sell real animals in the store, but they do provide a bulletin board for people to post notices if they have lost or found a dog or cat, or if they are looking for a new pet, or have a pet who needs a new home.
The business was established to provide the best selection of cat merchandise on the market, from cat toys and furniture to all types of gift items for cat lovers.
Customer service is a very important part of their business. Feel free to call or come in for help or information, or if you're in a hurry or the weather is bad, call ahead with your order and they'll have it ready for you at the back door.
