The owners—Saowanee (Sunny) and Suphasin (Matt) Kaneghasikorn—are from Thailand and have decorated their restaurant with genuine handmade decorations and wood tables from Thailand.
Signature dishes include Salmon Choo Chee with curry sauce and kaffir lime; mango curry with chicken and shrimp; chili duck, glazed with a spicy sauce; Lady in Green, steamed salmon wrapped in napa cabbage with yellow curry sauce and crispy spinach; and a spicy pad Thai country-style.
The food here doesn’t include MSG and the kitchen uses low-sodium soy sauce and pure vegetable oil. The staff is also happy to control the “heat level” in your entrée and will prepare any of their dishes “vegetarian style.” Just ask. And, yes, Peppermint Thai features a full bar. Reservations are suggested for parties of four or more.
