In 2013, owner Boris Music began developing Hansa Brewery, a restaurant and microbrewery adjacent to European grocery store, Hansa Import House (which has been a mainstay in Ohio City for 65 years). When it comes to Hansa Brewery’s beers (or as they say, biers), the Old World meets The New. Head brewer Corey Miller takes his influence from classic European styles and adds a modern twist with contemporary techniques and ingredients. With a focus on balance and drinkability, you’ll be coming back for thirds of these brews!
In 2017, Hansa Brewery brought home gold in the 2017 U.S. Open Beer Championships, as well as a gold in the 2018 Los Angeles International Beer Competition, along with other awards. Try Hansa for German-style beers and a variety of appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts with a European flair. Décor including flags from all over the world, as well as European artwork and photography, create an eye-catching dining experience in the main dining area and bar. Ample patio seating is available as well.
