Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

The 183-acre Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, is a must-see. Here you can feed giraffes at African Savanna, observe elephants at Elephant Crossing, and come “nose to nose” at the newly opened Rosebrough Tiger Passage exhibit, that features four interconnected habitat areas for the tigers to roam, two trails that pass over the heads of visitors, and glass viewing areas. Family fun can be had at The Circle of Life Carousel ride, which features 64 carved animals. And if you want to explore the tropics in the great indoors, the zoo’s Rainforest can be added to the zoo’s regular admission prices. The zoo is about 5 minutes from downtown.

Tip: If you must park far from the gate on a busy day, that’s OK. Just find a convenient tram stop for a ride to the gate. There are also trams stops inside the zoo. As for where to eat, there are concessions and tables throughout the grounds. Or, pack a picnic

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo & The RainForest are open all year except January 1 and December 25.
Hours:
    •    Daily from 10am to 5pm
    •    The main gate opens at 9:30 am
    •    The Zoo Box Office closes at 4pm
    •    Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the Zoo and The RainForest remain open until 7pm. and Zoo Box Office closes at 6pm.  Parking is FREE.
